Dining in the Eiffel TowerSeptember 25, 2017
La Tour Eiffel has a timeless allure and is absolutely stunning from all angles. All visitors have the option of climbing a mere 1,700 steps to the very top of the tower to see Paris from above. Since struggling up numerous flights of stairs isn’t really my thing, I opted to make a lunch reservation at a restaurant on the 2nd floor called Le Jules Verne instead.
My adorable mom had no idea we were actually going up the tower until I surprised her at the entrance of the restaurant at the South pillar. Luckily, they had a private elevator to take us up so we didn’t have to climb any stairs at all!
I booked in advance to make sure we got a table by a window. The views were incredible, but the contemporary French cuisine was even better. My favourite part about the restaurant was having access to the private terrace where I felt like I was on top of the world. After the 3 course meal and a quick photoshoot at the top, it was time to make our way back down via the private elevator.
Although the restaurant is very touristy, the food is up to par with classic French cuisine. Overall, Le Jules Verne gets the Ostrich Approval. Au revoir!
